FEATURE Products

Ergon bike ergonomics are made in Germany. They offer a wide range of exceptionally well designed bicycle components and accessories for all riding disciplines. At Rad Cycles and Gear we are stocking Ergon women’s and men’s saddles and a range of grips in a variety of colours.

We know too well the challenges of finding a saddle that fits and Ergon range has a primary focus on ergonomics. We think they tick the design and style boxes as well!

Ergon provide a on-line saddle selector which is a great way to start to finding a saddle to suit your needs. We have a range of test saddles in store.

The Ergon GA3 grip comes with a mini-wing that offers the perfect combination of wrist support and trail performance. The GA3 optimally supports and relieves common wrist pain.

The particular shape of the grips provides you with great comfort and grip, without compromising the freedom of movement. This allows you to have all the control you need to tackle the most demanding of trails with full confidence.

The longer a ride is, the harder it is for a rider to maintain the ergonomically correct hand position on the bike. As a result riders often bend their wrists too much, stressing nerves, tendons and inhibiting blood circulation. Numbness and pain in your hands are often the undesirable consequences. The GA3 grip optimizes the hand position through the Miniwings and prevents over-bending in your wrist.

Aeroe are a New Zealand company who have been designing and refining their products for more than 12 years – ever since they invented the original 'quick-mount-release' bike rack (originally The Freeload Rack now known as the 'Tour Rack' sold by Thule). Despite having a soft spot for anything outdoorsy and NZ designed/tested (some of Natalya’s family of original hail from NZ and she previously working for a well-known merino wool company there), we have also spent a bit of time riding there are understand the conditions that these racks are tested under. This gets a big tick of approval from us.

Simplicity is the key feature of their well-designed racks and accessories. We love how quick it is to set up the rear rack and also that it can be used on range of bicycle frames and switched between them with ease. They are also suitable for full suspension bikes and bikes with dropper posts. The also make fat bike racks, racks for panniers, front racks and a handlebar cradle. Aero have won multiple “Design & Innovation Awards” for their Spider Rear Rack System, Handlebar Cradle and Quick Mount Pods.

We have been using the spider rear rack system on a carbon hardtail and carbon full suspension bike. It includes one cradle to carry a drybag or tent, which can be mounted on the top or sides of the rack. We secure the rack to the chain stays with the built-in straps – no fiddly cables or fiddly attachments. The rack itself can be turned around and the cradles adjusted to accommodate dropper posts.

You can customise your ride with additional cradles (up to three), pods and Aeroe accessories.
